Delegation of the University of Banja Luka led by the rector, Professor Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Serb Member of BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik visited the Saint Petersburg Mining University on 21 November 2019.
The delegation was welcomed by the rector on behalf of the Mining University, which is the oldest higher technical education institution in the Russian Federation, Vladimir Stefanovich Litvinenko, PhD.
Rector Litvinenko expects better cooperation between the two universities in the forthcoming period and signing of a specific cooperation agreement, which would include, among other things, enhanced exchange of students and technical staff.
Rector Gajanin expressed readiness to establish a higher level of cooperation. Gajanin hopes that representatives of the Mining University will soon visit the University of Banja Luka. The rector also said that he expects the cooperation agreement to be concluded in Banja Luka as early as next year.
Serb Member of BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik said he would support the establishment of cooperation between the two universities. Dodik also announced that he would personally attend the signing of the agreement between the two higher education institutions.
The visit to the Saint Petersburg Mining University was arranged in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in the Russian Federation.
