University of Banja LukaGeneral

Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Director of “Hemofarm” in B&H Saša Urošević signed am Agreement on Scientific, Professional and Business Cooperation on 27 March 2024.

According to Rector Gajanin, this agreement will, among other things, contribute to the strengthening of science and research, which is one of the strategic goals of the University of Banja Luka.

The goal of the University and all faculties is to increase practical teaching for students, and this agreement has a big role in it. In order to further strengthen the students’ practical knowledge and skills, we continuously work on establishing and strengthening cooperation with the business sector, as the combination of knowledge gained in the lecturing hall with the practical experience that students gain during their apprenticeships contributes to our alumni being sought after on the
labour market, the rector said and emphasized that the University is a reliable partner to all its associates, as evidenced by numerous cooperation agreements with companies, institutions, and higher education institutions from all over the world.

I believe that the next five years, which is the validity term of the agreement between the University and Hemofarm, will bring new joint projects to the mutual benefit of both the academic community and the business sector", Rector Gajanin said after signing the agreement at the University of Banja Luka Rectorate.

The agreement will be implemented through mutual cooperation and professional assistance in the education of students and teaching staff on all study cycles, as well as through preparing and conducting scientific research, conducting practical classes and familiarizing students with the regulations and guidelines used in the pharmaceutical industry.

It is of great importance to us that in Banja Luka we have a university base for quality personnel of all profiles, who can continue their career in our company, which for years has been part of the education of students in the field of practical teaching and a place where students learn about the industrial production of medicines, as well as the basic requirements of GMP.

A large number of former students of the University of Banja Luka, ranging from doctors of medicine, masters of pharmacy, ecologists and technologists to economists and lawyers, are employed at Hemofarm today, and that makes this collaboration even more exceptional. Focused on good health and well-being, responsible production and consumption, dignified work and the creation of partnerships, in December, we presented the 'STADA EXPO', a multimedia project dedicated
to sustainable development, here in the University Campus, Director of Hemofarm Saša Urošević said.

The signing of the agreement was also attended by the General Secretary to the University Đorđe Marquez, MA.
