Meeting of the Rector and the Consul General of Turkey in Banja Luka

Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, met on 9 February 2022 with the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, Oğuz Kiliç in Banja Luka. 

Rector Gajanin informed the Turkish diplomat about the activities undertaken at the University of Banja Luka in the field of international and inter-university as well as scientific cooperation.

According to the rector, our professors and teaching assistants, as reliable partners, participate in the implementation of the European Union-funded projects. He especially emphasized the fact that the teaching staff of the University of Banja Luka is today the coordinator of projects financed from European funds. 

They discussed the strengthening of cooperation between our university and higher education institutions in the Republic of Turkey. According to the rector, our University is planning certain activities with higher education institutions from Turkey, in order to apply for the Erasmus+ credit exchange project. Kiliç emphasized that today there are about 200 higher education institutions in Turkey, those from Ankara and Istanbul being the top universities, and expressed hope that the University of Banja Luka will cooperate with some of them. They also discussed the possible organization of Turkish language courses.

The meeting held at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka was also attended by Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Strain Posavljak, PhD, and Deputy Counsul Zeynep Didem Akinoglu.
