Reception of the „Eagles“ Basketball Players and the Management

On 22 April 2021, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, organized a reception for the basketball players and the management of the University Women's Basketball Club "Eagles“.

During the meeting at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, Rector Gajanin praised the successes that this club is achieving, and expressed full support for further activities of the "Eagles". According to Rector Gajanin, the club is achieving better results for each year, which, as he pointed out, is something all of us can be proud of.

The management of the "Eagles" informed Rector Gajanin about its activities and pointed out the results achieved in the past period. In various competitions, they played over 60 games in the previous period, and lost only one game. As said, despite all the challenges and a large number of activities, the players of "Eagles" justified all expectations. According to the management, this year the "Eagles" won the prestigious international memorial tournament "Aco, Prle and Milenko", which was held in Banja Luka, as well as the Cup of the Republic of Srpska and the Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The playoffs for the BiH champion in the Premier League are underway, where they start from the first position. They also pointed out that they are fifth in the regional WABA league.
The basketball players and the management of the club especially thanked Rector Gajanin and the University of Banja Luka for their selfless support.

At this meeting, hope was expressed that the epidemiological situation will improve, and that soon we will be able to organize matches for the audience. At the same time, this was an opportunity to discuss important issues related to the work of the Women’s Basketball Club "Eagles", which this year marks 50 years of successful work.
