Workshop on Knowledge Transfer in Tourism Held

A two-day workshop titled „Transfer of Knowledge for Tourism Development in Protected Area“ was held on 28 and 29 January 2020 at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management in Trebinje and at the Sutjeska National Park.

This workshop was organized by the University of Banja Luka as part of a project funded by the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Trade and Tourism.

During this workshop, lectures were given on the possibilities of tourism development in the protected areas of the Republic of Srpska, the importance of wildlife to the development of this type of tourism and how important historical monuments are for the development of tourism in the protected areas.

,,The event was intended for employees in the field of tourism who had the opportunity to hear the latest directions in which tourism should be developed in the protected area and how the tourist potentials of the Republic of Srpska should be developed“, Senior Entrepreneurship Associate at the Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer Center, University of Banja Luka, Predrag Goverdarica said.

Banja Luka Grammar School Professor and Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka Danilo Kovac, MA, talked about the „Historic Monuments as an Important Element for the Development of Tourism in the Protected Area“, while the Director of the College of Tourism and Hotel Management in Trebinje Professor Obren Gnjato, PhD, presented the possibilities of tourism development in the protected areas of the Republic of Srpska.
