On 16 January 2020, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Rector of the University of Novi Sad Prof. Dejan Jaksic, PhD, signed the amendments to the existing bilateral interuniversity Agreement on Cooperation, which specifies the intensification of academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities.
By this document, the University of Banja Luka and the University of Novi Sad have agreed to exchange staff and students for the purpose of teaching, studying and academic research, and in accordance with the set up plans for the exchange of students and staff.
The signing of the amendments to the Agreement was organized during the visit of Rector Gajanin and Vice Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation Prof. Biljana Antunovic, PhD, to the University of Novi Sad. The delegation of the University of Banja Luka was received by Rector of the University of Novi Sad Prof. Dejan Jaksic, PhD, Vice Rector for Teaching Prof. Sanja Podunavac-Kuzmanovic, PhD, and Vice Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Dejan Madić, PhD.
It is important to emphasize that the existing Agreement on Cooperation was concluded on 7 November 2016, and that it stipulates cooperation in the field of research and development projects, staff and student exchanges. The same Agreement provides for the exchange of academic publications and textbooks, the promotion of joint publications, scientific and teaching materials, the organization of scientific symposia and conferences, as well as a number of other activities.
