HighlightsUniversity of Banja LukaGeneral

After the joint collegium of the rectors of the University of Banja Luka and the University of Istocno Sarajevo, held on 30 May 2019, an appeal was filed with the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina to have public universities from the Republic of Srpska entered in the National Register of Accredited Higher Education Institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovine.

At the session held at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, the Collegium emphasized that institutional re-accreditation and accreditation of study programs has been completed, as confirmed by the accreditation and re-accreditation decisions of March this year.

We are asking the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina to finalize the registration of public universities from the Republic of Srpska at the National Register of Accredited Higher Education Institutions in BiH, because in the accreditation and re-accreditation process we were rated the highest marks by internationally relevant experts as well as by  the RS Higher Education Accreditation Agency that issued the decisions.

On this occasion, the managements of the two universities also expressed their support to the RS Students’ Union, which in an open letter required from the Council of Ministers and relevant institutions to urgently finalize this process.
