Representatives of the Faculty of Medicine in a conference in China

Prof. Nataša Stojaković, PhD, Associate Prof. Ljiljana Božić, PhD, and Associate Prof. Milica Gajić, PhD, from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Banja Luka (MED UNIBL) participated in a prestigious international conference “Intelligent Bioengineering” which was held from 12 to 19 January 2026 in Dalian and Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China.

During their stay in Dalian, they visited the laboratories of the University of Technology and the University of Medicine in Dalian, where they presented the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka and its scientific research achievements. They established significant academic and scientific contacts and received invitations for future cooperation that would include organizing a summer school for students and academic staff, and the implementation of joint scientific projects.

During their stay in Shenzhen, the delegation of the Faculty of Medicine visited the Beijing Institute of Genomics (BGI), one of the world’s leading institutions in that field. There they discussed the possibilities of cooperation through developing joint study programs, organizing students’ practice and advanced courses for students and academic staff.
