Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Banja Luka Prof. Ranko Skrbic, PhD, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Pristina, Kosovska Mitrovica, Prof. Suzana Matejic, PhD, signed on 5 July 2019 the Agreement on Scientific, Professional and Business Cooperation.
After the signing of the agreement at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka, Dean Skrbic stressed that the Agreement implied mutual exchange of professors, residency or postgraduate training, joint projects, and the inclusion of a number of students at the Pristina Faculty of Medicine in the third cycle of doctoral studies in Banja Luka.
"I think that the network of medical faculties from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska should be more intense and that we should jointly apply for different international projects" Dean Skrbic said.
He reminded that these two faculties have been cooperating for some time now, and that the students from Kosovska Mitrovica had the opportunity to visit Banja Luka, especially in May when the Congress of Medical Students took place.
Professor Suzana Matejic, PhD, who is also chairing the Union of Faculties of Medical Sciences of Serbia, emphasized that she wants a successful scientific, health and educational cooperation between the two higher education institutions and that it should be the way how to act in the future.
By signing this agreement, the contracting parties undertake to cooperate in the teaching of doctoral studies, residency or postgraduate training, sub-specialty training and continuing education. This includes teaching, study visits in Kosovska Mitrovica and Banja Luka, participation in national and international projects, as well as mentoring and co-mentoring in the preparation of doctoral dissertations.
On that day, the deans of these two faculties were received by the RS President, Zeljka Cvijanovic.
