This year, the annual art exhibition featuring the works of students of the fine art study program at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka is of humanitarian nature.
Opening of the exhibition, which is being organized for the 18th time this year, will take place on Wednesday, 19 June 2019, at 20.00, in front of the building of the Academy of Arts.
The students’ artworks are for sale with proceeds helping to fund the research on advancing the cure for the Lafora disease. Graphics and photographs that are on display are for sale at a symbolic initial price of five convertible marks.
We hereby invite all professors, assistants, students and administrative staff of the University of Banja Luka to come and buy the artworks and in that way help this humanitarian event.
This exhibition is one of the most important art events traditionally organized by the Academy of Arts at the University of Banja Luka, and it is a unique opportunity to see all the artworks of the students of painting, graphics, graphic design and intermedial art at one place. The best works will be awarded.
Showing of the documentary film „Faces of Lafora“
In the evening, at 21.00, the documentary film „Faces of Lafora“ by Denis Bojic will be shown on the plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy. The film is about Gajic family from Banja Luka and their struggle to find a cure for the Lafora disease.
