Visit of professor from Beijing to Banja Luka University

Professor from Beijing Foreign Studies University, School of European Languages and Cultures, Jin Qiao visited on 17 July 2018 the University in Banja Luka, where she met with professor Milos Solaja from the Faculty of Political Sciences and the representatives of the Confucius Institute at Banja Luka University.

The goal of the visit of this professor from China was to broaden her knowledge of the history and culture of Western Balkans, as part of the program of the School of European Languages and Cultures, which professor Solaja helped with by telling her about certain historical events, history-related buildings, religions and the current general situation in this region. Together they also visited the Archive of Republika Srpska, Minsitry of Education and Culture, where she was able to get more information for her research and have better understanding of the history and culture of this region.

Professor Qiao used the opportunity to also visit the premises of the Confucius Institute. She talked to the Chinese Director Ying Cai about the activities organized so far by the Confucius Institute and the possibilities of extending the cooperation between it and the School of European Languages and Cultures of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
