Law experts from Chile held a lecture at the Faculty of Law

A Professor at Faculty of Law, at University of Chile, from Santiago, Prof. Juan Pablo Mañalich, an expert for human rights and criminal law, and a representative of the Directorate for Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Salinas Alejandro, a law expert with long time experience in international law and human rights, held a lecture on October  4th, 2016  at the University of Banja Luka.

Mr. Carlos Gajardo, Consul at the Embassy of Chile in Budapest, competent for the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was also a participant of the lecture.

Students of the fourth year of the study at the Faculty of Law and their assistants attended the interesting presentation of Chilean guests about “Strengthening Institutions and Governance Through Reconcilement: the Chilean Experience and Its Possible Usage in Other States and Territories.”

Prof. Dr. Valerija Saula and prof. Dr. Ljiljana Mijovic hosted guests from Chile and on behalf of the Rector of the University and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, wished them a pleasant stay at our University, and subsequently, accompanied by the host, they visited the facilities of the Faculty of Law.

After the lecture, the law experts from Chile, had a meeting at the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, organized by the University of Banja Luka, where they talked to Secretary General, Marko Acic about legal and territorial organization of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They also discussed the achieved level of respect for human rights.
