Visit of the representatives of the Headquarters for coordination of assistance to the people affected by the floods to students of the University who are engaged on the ground

The representatives of the Banja Luka University’s Headquarters for coordination of assistance to the people affected by the floods visited on 19th May, 2014 the students of the University of Banja Luka who have assiduously been helping the flood-affected inhabitants of the Republic of Srpska for days.
The representative of the Headquarters visited three groups of students, who had been cleaning the grounds on multiple locations in Doboj, viz. the Court and Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Sveti Sava Primary School, as well as the Ustanička street, which was affected the most by the catastrophic floods in this town. The fourth group of students of the UNBL has been engaged today in providing help in cleaning the grounds of the refugee settlement in Modriča, while the fifth group did the same in the Banja Luka’s suburb of Derviši.

The members of the Headquarters, the Vice-Rectors Draško Marinković and Milan Mataruga, as well as the representative of the Students’ Parliament, Siniša Srdić, have, after their visit, stated that they were thrilled with the displayed enthusiasm, responsibility and solidarity of the UNBL students. The representatives of the local community also expressed their acknowledgements and words of gratitude to these young men and women.

The students of the University of Banja Luka will be engaged tomorrow in cleaning of the public and communal buildings in Doboj, Modriča, Banja Luka and Prijedor, and the activities of giving aid to those jeopardised by the floods will be continued in the next period too.
