The Hague playing host to the international conference on joint study programmes

Within the Erasmus Mundus Programme (Action 3), 2014, an international conference on joint study programmes as a means of developing international cooperation between the institutions of higher education was held in the Hague on 21 and 22 May. This was the third conference within the Interuv project, organized by Erasmus Mundus national structure consisting of 16 Member States. 

 

The objective of the conference was to present and promote joint study programmes between the institutions of higher education from the EU and third countries, especially those bordering the European Union, but also to incorporate such programmes into institutional strategies for international cooperation between the institutions of higher education. The experiences of the institutions of higher education from theNetherlandswere taken as an instance.

Aside from the representatives of the institutions of higher education, the representatives of the national Erasmus + offices (previously known as the national Tempus offices) also took part in the conference.

The representatives of the Universities of Sarajevo, Mostar andBanja Lukawere invited to attend the conference. Vice-rector for international cooperation, Prof. Valerija Saula was a representative of the University of Banja Luka.



On 23 May 2014, the conference participants from the countries of the Western Balkans had the opportunity to visit the Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they were informed about the possibilities of realizing joint study programmes the University organizes with foreign partners.
